Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar, the wealthy musician competing against politician maina kamanda for jubilee ticket has lost to the latter. The artiste who had an early lead got 8,391 votes while the winner got 10,374 votes. As expected Jaguar did not accept the results and hence staged a protest to the jubilee offices. He has since refused negotiations and repeat of the primaries.
“we don’t want negotiations. I will not sit down with anyone and will not go back to the elections again. I am not ready to talk to him, democracy is not about negotiations.” he was heard saying.

The former investigative journalist Mohammed Ali has lost in his bid to win the ODM nomination to Ali Hassan Joho’s brother, Said Abdalla.
Mohammed Ali, who was seeking the election for Nyali member of parliament on an ODM ticket says that the nomination exercise did not meet the threshold of free and credile elections.
The Journalist has since promised to meet his opponent on the ballot come 8th August. He hasn’t confirmed yet, whether he’ll be running as an independent candidate
